SingKids.
Checking out the place.
The other day, Linna and I were walking through Vivo City (the big mall right by our apartment in Singapore), and we saw this multi-colored, fun-looking, indoor play area that we had to check out. SingKids (as they call it) had all sorts of fun games, rides, and activities for kids of all ages. From the looks of it, it was the perfect place for kids to burn some energy after being stuck in the stroller all day at the mall!
Keeping up with the "big kids".
The over-sized blocks were her favorite.
The first thing they have kids and parents do before we stepped inside the play area at SingKids, is sanitize our hands and ask that we put socks on our feet. I love this! Kids get sick all the time, and the more you can prevent it, the better (in my opinion).
Making friends!
A little overwhelmed by all the fun!
Linna was a bit intimidated by all the moving animals and toys, and it took her a little time to get used to all the "big kid" play areas. There were a couple three to five-year-old kids in the play area, and Linna watched as they whizzed by her.
At first, Linna wanted to play with the big blocks. Then, she wanted to check out the big balloons and the little balloons. She also couldn't stop pointing at the colorful characters painted on the walls! After about 20 minutes, she was getting farther and farther away from me, and she started hanging out with the big kids! She went on a merry-go-round, jumped on a blow-up mattress with huge balloons floating through it, and she even rode a mini moving ship!
The big balloon pit was a little much for this one-year-old.
All the bigger kids loved it though!
SingKids was a great way for Linna to burn off some energy at a padded play area, and it's kind of like The Little Gym in Minnesota. It's just a little more "theme park-like". SingKids is very fun for kids older than two years, but maybe a little intimidating for the one-year-olds (mine anyway). All-in-all, we had a blast, and I'd love to see something more like this in Minnesota!
