Someone peed in the potty.

We really haven't started "potty training" Linna, because she's totally not ready. When we ask her if she wants to go potty on the potty chair, her response is always "NO". Since we don't want her to always say "NO" when we ask her to use the potty, we tried a little bribery today. The plan was simple... Linna would pee in her potty chair... and she would get a marshmallow. It sure doesn't happen as easy as you'd like. After a lot of patience, water/juice, and and HOUR later... LINNA PEED ON THE POTTY for the first time today!


AJ and I literally sat with her for an hour, giving her new books and puzzles to do while she sat on her Fisher Price Princess Potty. This potty plays a magical sound when the little one poops or pees in it. Pretty fascinating;) Linna drank a lot of juice/water, so it was just a matter of time before she peed... and I really wanted this pee to happen on the potty (instead of the floor where it usually happens), so we could have a big "celebration". She seemed pretty pleased with herself when it happened. I, of course, took lots of pictures afterwards.


This is about all we'll be doing in the potty-training department until Linna is at least two years old. We fly back to Minnesota at the end of June, and fly back to Singapore a month or so later. The last thing I want to have to deal with is a little girl with wet pants on a 19-hour flight (a flight I will be doing all by myself). We'll tackle the "real" potty training in a couple months, but right now we'll stick to the "occasional method", where she's still in diapers.
