Anniversary dinner at the hard rock cafe.

In Singapore, there are a lot of options for parents looking for an "adult-friendly" restaurant that is "child-friendly" as well (I wish Minnesota had more of these). Since we had to bring Linna with us for our wedding anniversary dinner, we decided to check out the Hard Rock Cafe in Singapore. This has been our favorite dining experience with Linna in Singapore in the two months that we've been here!

Enjoying her Fish & Chips.

Sharing her dinner with our fabulous server.

Linna spent a little time coloring, after she tried to eat the crayons.

First of all, the Hard Rock Cafe is a noisier restaurant, so it doesn't matter if your child has a melt-down. Linna does pretty well when we go out to eat, but she does have her moments when she wants to get out of her high-chair and explore. The Hard Rock Cafe had so much going on (music, entertaining servers, good food, etc.), that Linna never really got bored, and therefore she didn't have a meltdown! She would watch music videos on the big-screen TV, danced to the music, and made some good friends with the staff.

AJ and I wanted to have a good "American" meal for our anniversary (there's only so much noodles, pad thai, and chicken & rice a person from MN can eat), so the Hard Rock was the perfect fit for us! AJ ordered a burger and a big beer, and I don't think I've seen that much happiness on his face after a meal in a long time. He said it was delicious, and took about half of his meal home because of the huge portions. I ordered the pulled-pork sandwich, which was equally delicious, as well as a few cocktails:) We also shared the Chili Crab Dip, which was outstanding! It gave us the enjoyment of Singapore's famous chili crab, without the work of cracking the shell. Linna decided to be British and indulged in some Fish & Chips!

Chili Crab Dip. OMG. Nom nom nom.

Happy Papa with his giant burger.

I can't say enough good things about the staff at the Hard Rock Cafe! They kept walking by our table to say "hello" to Linna, and even gave her a balloon to keep her entertained. We had Linna out WAY past her bedtime (until about 9:30 p.m.), and she was such a good little girl the entire time. I think she knew it was our anniversary, so she kept her attitude in check:)

We're definitely planning on going back to the Hard Rock one night, because they have live music every evening after 10:30pm. We also hit up the gift shop for some souvenirs for family back in Minnesota. I know the Hard Rock is thought of as a "tourist hot spot", but Singapore's Hard Rock is a perfect place to bring the kids for a delicious family night out in the city!
